Solid field of contenders going 7F. 7F has been a tough distance to go wire to wire so far this winter at Laurel and a few speed types should ensure an honest if not crippling pace. #1 Coheed, #4 Zarba the Greek and #7 Suwannee all do their best running on the front end it seems. #2 Mr. Prime Time comes off a blow out win over MSW types but that effort was flattered by the track that day.
Our play of the day is #3 Gattopardo. 7-2 on the morling line, has faced this type already and run well enough. Cuts back from a route today, an angle his trainer excels at and seems to be developing a rating gear. Has two sharp works since his last effort, indicating he is holding his form and should get a nice trip just off the speeds.

Gattopardo didn’t disappoint, pressed the pace and drew off to a easy score at just over 2-1.
