I know, it has been awhile again. I’m busy. Might as well come back and talk about Dewey who just won the World Trotting Derby in the fastest trotting mile of the year by any class horse. He went 1.50.4 under a hand drive. 17 wins with no defeats now and has looked awesome every step of the way. Not sure what is next, but he’s awesome.
The Forego and Woodward go today at the Spa. With the retirement of Benny the Bull, Lucky Islands job just got much easier. Curlin headlines the Woodward and will be a prohibitive favorite and should win easily.
Tonight at Mohawk the Free For All Breeders Crown races go to post. Mister Big and Artistic Fella renew their rivalry as do Corleone Kosmos, Arch Madness, and Enough Talk.
The Cane Pace goes on Monday at Freehold ( I’ll be attending ). Art Official who has developed into quite a horse drew post 7. A difficult spot no doubt, however after watching last weeks Elims I don’t see how anyone in this field beats him. He was awesome last week.
I’d like to fire up the Play of the Day again, as I still show a profit and a great win %. Just need the time. As usual keep up with Pull the Pocket and Aspiring Horseplayer for the latest topics.
