Another winner yesterday. Lets head down to Cajun Country and play a N2x’er on the turf at the UnFair Grounds today.

The UnFair Grounds is a joke between myself and a buddy of mine who is a bit bitter after being taken down last season by the FG stewards. Cost him a few dollars.

Anyways … I got to looking around for a card to play tomorrow it seems I’m going to settle on the Fair Grounds. I found this race pretty interesting, really because I’ve been following Master Mizzen since his Dec. 9th effort when he was hung wide every step of the way from the 12 hole making his first start after a short lay off. I was impressed already and my confidence only grew when French Beret, a horse coming out of that race returned to win a turf stake. Well his last effort on Jan 7 wasn’t much easier, being hung wide again behind a slow pace. The race was run pretty much in order, with only Master Mizzen making up any significant ground from the back of the pack. Today’s post doesn’t look any easier, but it does look like he’ll get some more pace to run at and hopefully when some of the speeds to his inside go he can work out a trip. Makes his 3rd start off the lay off and has a good jock/trainer combo.

Play of the day:

$50 to win #10 Master Mizzen race 7 at the Fair Grounds …. turf only.

  1. Phil J. Says:

Master Mizzen ran a good race after breaking through the gate prior to the start. Not sure how that affected his performance, but he was run down late by a 17-1 shot. He finished 2 or 3 clear of third.
